The “gift of interpretation of tongues.” (1 Corinthians 12:10)

The “gift of interpretation of tongues” is a supernatural gift of interpreting, translating, or explaining a message that has been given in tongues from Jesus to a church or meeting through someone with the gifts if tongues. The person who gives the message in tongues must have been inspired or directed by the Holy Spirit will give the interpretation to someone in the gathering. It is the responsibility of that person to tell the others in the service or meeting what the message means. If there is more than one person may share in giving the interpretation of tongues.

It is important keep a written record of all messages received from Jesus through tongues and interpretation. Through this unique communications system Jesus can guide us both as a a Church and individuality. However, He will never give a message, or any kind of direction, that does not line up with Scripture.
